Chiang Mai is one of the top tourist destinations in Thailand, famous for its ancient temples, it's ethnic handicrafts, it's majestic mountain valleys and lush green jungles. There is a lot to see and do: mountain streams, waterfalls, caves, hill tribe villages, orchids, elephant camps, trekking tours, river rafting. You will notice Doi Suthep, 1676 meters high, hovering over the stadium. Atop Doi Suthep is one of the most famous temples in Thailand, offering fine views over the city.
